ANZAC Day

25 April 2023

The commencement of Term 2 was marked by a poignant ANZAC Day ceremony. This year, the school had the honour of hosting Major Bill Duncan as the guest speaker, whose inspiring words resonated deeply with our students.

Major Bill Duncan's personal experiences and reflections on the ANZAC spirit captivated the audience and left an indelible impression on the students. Major Duncan's words not only shed light on the historical significance of ANZAC Day but also highlighted the enduring values of courage, resilience, and selflessness that lie at its core.

Throughout the ceremony, students demonstrated remarkable respect. Each student thoughtfully placed a poppy in the Remembrance Garden, paying tribute to the fallen heroes and expressing their gratitude. The ceremony served as a catalyst for meaningful conversations and further exploration of Australian history, deepening the students' connection to their heritage and the sacrifices made by previous generations. Lest we forget.
