For the past 6 weeks, 8 Year 11 students have been part of an amazing Intergenerational Program at Anglicare in Castle Hill. Each student was paired up with an elderly resident based on shared interests and personalities, visiting them for an afternoon every week.
Real friendships blossomed between our girls and their 'Golden Oldies', as the residents eagerly awaited their weekly visits, and our students brought so much joy and zest for life with them.
In return, our students cherished the warmth, wisdom, and gratitude they received from their elderly friends. It has been so successful, that every one of our girls has pledged to keep visiting their new 'old' friends!
