New Families commencing in 2025
The Tangara School for Girls Uniform Shop is located within the school grounds at Cherrybrook. The store is operated by Midford – a division of Georges Apparel.
To deliver a personalised service all new uniform fittings are strictly by appointment only.

- Parents are required to schedule a fitting appointment by clicking this link for their child's uniform.
- Please note that the Uniform Shop is not currently accepting cash, however, all major credit cards are accepted.

Parents are welcome to view the school’s online store via www.midford.com.au
- Select Tangara School For Girls from the online School Shops Online tab
- Choose 'Register an account' – the unique school pass phrase TANGARA1982 will be required
- Add your personal information and create a username and password
- Once an account has been established, you are able to browse

Sports uniform to be worn to school on sport day. Full tracksuit for Sport days in Terms 2-3
White sport shoes. Only 1 set of gold or silver studs or sleepers Plain black, navy, gold or white watch strap Hair ties should be navy, white or rust and plain.

Our student management system is called Engage. The Engage Parent Portal is where you can access term calendars, timetables, forms, school reports, the absentee system.
Sports Program
Sports Program
All students from Years 3-10 are required to be involved in at least one Semester (2 terms) of Tangara sport. These two terms don’t have to be consecutive and can occur in different parts of the year. Students can take part in a minimum of one sport and a maximum of four. Involvement in sport is recorded in the end-of-year student report.

Intraschool Bus Service
Intraschool Bus Service
As a Tangara student, you can apply for your child to travel on the Intraschool Bus Service that travels between Tangara School for Girls (Cherrybrook) and Redfield College (Dural). This service accommodates families who also have children at our brother school and would like a single drop off/pick up location.

Charge for Service $220.00 per term per student. The fee for the bus service will invoiced termly and payable at the start of each term through Edstart.
This form is only an application for a seat and is no guarantee of a place. If you receive a place you will receive an email confirmation at the start of Term.
Bus passes are issued in the first week of Term, by the school admin office. Your child will not be required to present a bus pass in the first week of Term.
How do I Apply for a seat on the Intraschool School Bus?

- Login to Engage Parent Portal and follow the instructions above on how to book your child(ren) onto the Hills Schools Bus Service.

What to Pack in the School Bag
What to Pack in the School Bag

- Morning tea and lunch with names clearly labelled,
- If your child prefers hot food, please pack it in a thermos, as we cannot heat food at school. Please pack any cutlery your child needs,
- Drink bottle—Please pack water in a labelled drink bottle. Please ensure your child can open and close the bottle independently,
- Tangara/ Redfield sports hat - please label all hats. School hats will be sent home regularly to be washed,
- An art smock to leave at school,
- Library bag,
- Chair bag,
- Labelled raincoat packed in the front pocket of the school bag (no umbrellas),
- Spare underwear in a plastic bag,
- Earphones (labelled in a bag),
- A happy smile.😊
Please ensure your child’s school bag is large enough to fit all their belongings and that every item of clothing, including shoes and socks, is labelled.
Stationery will be provided.

What to do if...
- Your child is absent/late/needs to leave early - fill out an Absentee Form. Late students require a late stamp from the front office and are marked as late on the roll call.
- Your family is taking leave during the school term (or holidays etc.) - complete an Extended Leave Form
- Your contact details change - update your contact details in Engage
- Your child needs an exemption from School (for external activities, medical appointments, funerals etc.) - complete an Exemption from School form
- You want to celebrate your child's birthday at school – individually wrapped cakes or (frozen) ice blocks may be brought to school

Tangara is a nut aware school!

- Please avoid sweet treats and stick to healthy foods, no nut products or eggs.
- Try to send in packets or containers that can be opened easily by small fingers, no cans or glass containers.
- Do not pack too much food.
Ensure all lunch boxes and drink bottles are clearly labelled with your child’s name.
